Tennis Team Brings the Heat This Season

Not only is the Cuda Tennis Team playing well on the court this year, but they're playing with focus, chemistry, and determination. It might appear to be just some games of tennis from the outside, but if you've seen the team's practices this year, you'd realize that it's about picking each other up and working as a team. This year, as one of the players noted, the attitude is "really connected." The players have been challenging one another to get better, and it transcends to practice and games. "Practices are tough but fruitful," the player stated. Each player on the court gets to choose whether or not they want to play doubles or singles.

At a match, the doubles players are fast talkers and unbeatable duo's, while the singles players will be quick- thinkers. The player stated, "It's about putting people where they do their best and acknowledging who needs more practice in different aspects of the court."

The team can play singles or doubles, and they always support one another. The player explained, "Even in the bleachers, we always help each other out. During the games, someone is always there to lift you up and give their encouragement." They capitalize on that positive attitude, especially in tough games.

Teamwork is seen to be the team's greatest asset along with skill and technique. The player explained, "We really want our teammates to succeed so we always root for them." Standing in the middle of it all, is a coach who can maintain the team's concentration level. The player continued, "Our coach makes us tough mentally and helps us come up with our game plans based on the opponent that we are up against." So, next time you see the Cuda Tennis Team out on the courts, know that there’s a lot more behind those serves and volleys. This group is the embodiment of a supportive, driven team.
