Exciting news for Don Soffer DECA! Our students had an outstanding showing at districts. Several competitors placed in the top six at the District Career Development Conference, officially qualifying for the State Career Development Conference in Orlando this March. This is a major accomplishment, and our school is very proud!
Congratulations to Olivia Obadiah, who earned 3rd place in Principles of Business Management & Administration, and Alexa Obadiah, who placed 2nd in Principles of Hospitality & Tourism. Shoutout to Noam Bar Shalom for earning 1st place in Automotive Services Marketing. A notable mention for Lorenzo Gonzalez, who placed 2nd in Human Resources Management, and Nicolas Baredes, who placed 2nd in Retail Merchandising.

Team events were a highlight as well. Natalie Aizenman and Farrah Buchwald earned 1st place in the Sports and Entertainment Marketing Team Decision Making event after excelling in a rigorous competition that testes both knowledge and real-world business strategy, finance, and industry specific knowledge. In the same event, Paloma Bursztyn and Ariela Rozenblyum also delivered a strong performance, earning 2nd place in Sports and Entertainment Marketing Team Decision Making, for their strong strategy, teamwork, and presentation skills.
Qualifying at districts reflects the dedication these students have shown in preparing, presenting, and performing under pressure. Orlando is next, and Don Soffer will be well represented—can’t wait to see what our competitors accomplish at states!
