Alexandra Bentes: Contributing & Events Writer

Hi everyone! My name is Aly Bentes, and I’m a proud member and events writer for the Barracuda Bulletin. Born in Miami to a Jewish-Venezuelan family, that unique blend of cultures has shaped who I am: warm, joyful, resilient, and deeply connected to my community. It’s that spirit I bring into everything I do, whether in class, on the court, in leadership roles, or through the stories we tell and share. At the Barracuda Bulletin, I aim to create content that students can connect with and feel seen by; reading pieces that reflect who we are and what matters to our school community. Recently elected Miss Soffer High, I’m focused on creating opportunities for student engagement and leading school spirit initiatives that inspire and connect us all. A creative thinker at heart, I enjoy writing and editing social media content for my teams and clubs, and using my voice to bring people together. As a leader, I believe in the power of stories to inspire change and build connection, and I’m excited for what’s to come for the Barracuda Bulletin and beyond.
