My name is Alexa Schultz, and I’m a junior at Don Soffer Aventura High School, honored to serve as the Editor in Chief of our school’s first-ever digital newspaper. Writing has always been more than just a hobby for me. I see it as a passion and a creative outlet that allows me to express ideas, tell stories, and connect with others. Whether I’m covering a school event, writing about a sports game, or highlighting student voices, I find joy in shaping words into something meaningful. I believe that strong writing can inform, inspire, and make people feel seen. That’s why I’m so excited to lead this new chapter for our school. This newspaper isn’t just about reporting what happens in the school, it’s about actually giving students the opportunity to share their perspectives, explore their creativity, and become heard.
